RTL Academy is a read-only collection of articles. There are no accounts, no comments, no forms, and no way to sign up. You can read every lesson without telling us anything about yourself.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We don't share it with advertisers or use advertising trackers, third-party ad cookies, or fingerprinting.
- We don't track you across the web. No pixels, no remarketing, no cross-site profiles.
- We don't read individual visitor behavior. We look at aggregate metrics — which articles get traffic, how long people stay — never at any single person's activity.
- We don't use cookies for analytics. The only storage used is in your browser (e.g. the collapsed/expanded state of the “Assumed knowledge” block), and it stays on your device.
Metrics we collect
We use Vercel Analytics to understand which articles readers find useful. It's a privacy-first analytics service that records aggregate pageviews and basic device info (browser, country-level location). No cookies are set, no personal identifiers are collected, and we cannot see what any individual visitor did.
Error reports
If the site throws an error while you're reading, we use Sentry to log the technical details so we can fix it. A typical error report includes the URL you were on, the browser you're using, a stack trace, and the IP address your request came from. Error reports fire only when something goes wrong — not on normal page loads.
Data retention
Aggregate metrics are retained by Vercel for the duration of our account. Error reports expire automatically in Sentry (default 30 days). Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to delete on request.
